Shipping policy

We hand package your chocolate with great care so it can arrive just like if you purchased it in our retail shop.  Please read the shipping terms and policies below to help us make sure you receive your chocolate in the same condition we packaged it.  

Our chocolates are shipped from Tullahoma, TN using UPS or USPS.  We are not responsible for damages, losses or delays caused by UPS or USPS or customer negligence.  We are not responsible for the product after it has been handed over to the carrier.  The customer is responsible for timely receipt of the product and avoiding any weather or other damage at the receiving location.  The customer should make sure someone will be available to receive the chocolate when it is delivered. 

Warm Weather Shipping:  Our chocolate begins to melt at 70 degrees so we use cooler boxes and ice packs when shipping during the summer or to warm locations.  To keep the chocolate from melting we highly recommend you select either 2nd day air or next day air shipping if your destination is in a warmer climate or season or your location is more than two days for ground delivery.  We are not responsible for melted chocolate if 2nd day air or next day air shipping was not selected and if no one was available to receive the chocolate and place it inside when received.  We recommend shipping to a business instead of a residential address if at all possible.  Most chocolate melts while it is sitting on the porch all day waiting for someone to come home. 

During the warm weather months or when shipping to warm locations we only ship early in the week so the chocolate can be delivered before the weekend.  We do not offer weekend delivery and will not ship when the chocolate will have to sit in a warehouse over the weekend. 

We try to process all orders received before noon central time the same day the orders are received, but this can vary based on temperature (see above) and inventory levels.    

Water's Edge Chocolates, Inc. is not responsible for damage or loss as a result of shipments being returned to the freight location or being undeliverable as a result of incorrect address information you supply to us, or for inability of a recipient to receive the package on the day you specify that it should be delivered. If your gift is returned to us because of an incorrect address provided by you we will not refund the purchase as all sales are final.
